Samonas
Spectrally Activated Music of Optimal Natural Structure

Hands on Learning Solutions

Samonas is an individualized sound therapy program that combines the essential elements of music, sound and science in specialized recordings. It is one of the most comprehensive, effective, and easy-to-use auditory training systems on the market.

Samonas stands for Spectrally Activated Music of Optimal Natural Structure. Based on the work of ENT specialist, Dr. Alfred Tomatis, Samonas builds on the work of earlier times and moves sound therapy forward by using the latest technology to include the element of space and location. Developed in the late 1980’s by German scientist Ingo Steinbach, Samonas uses advanced recording techniques to enhance musical and natural sounds. This groundbreaking “spectral activation” revolutionized auditory training.

Re-educating the auditory pathways

The auditory system is linked with many parts of the mind and body. Samonas therapy re-educates the ear and auditory nerve pathways through the use of specifically modified music and nature sounds. These sounds stimulate the eardrum, cochlea and hearing mechanism of the brain to receive a full spectrum of sound. Samonas is very gentle and does not shock the sound system of the brain, yet it is a powerful tool for developing muscle tone in the eardrum. Sound therapy actually provides a slight massage to certain areas of the middle ear, opening the system to sounds previously shut out or never accessed.

Who should use Samonas?

People with learning disabilities, auditory & hearing issues, and speech & language challenges can benefit from Samonas sound therapy. Many people are pleasantly surprised by the changes they have experienced through Samonas. It is easy to use, simple, yet very powerful in what it can achieve.
