At Hands On Learning Solutions you can expect to receive services that are based on research in how the brain works. All of our programs work on the root causes of weak skills, improving academic performance. If applied consistently, most programs can be completed in 2–4 months, and will often eliminate the underlying causes of learning challenges. In 6–8 weeks, you may see academic improvement as well as behavioral and social changes. As your child’s capabilities improve, they will likely display increased motivation and feel less stressed.
Phone Consultation
Our services begin with a free phone consultation to determine the needs of the client. We will ask you to complete and mail back to us intake forms. Once we have reviewed your information, we will call you to set up an appointment for an assessment. Call us at (253) 857-8188 or click here to get started.
Assessments
We use a variety of assessments, both standardized and non-standardized, to identify and measure various aspects of a student’s learning abilities.
Results & Recommendations
Causes of learning challenges are identified based on test results, observations, and careful consideration of symptoms. Each client is unique, and appropriate programs are matched to the individual student. Results and recommendations for interventions are explained to parents during a two-hour consultation.
Follow Up & Support
During the program, parents will receive progress notes on their child’s improvement. In addition, we will communicate with the student’s teacher, with parent’s permission, on a regular basis. Adjustments are made to the student’s program as needed.
Re-Evaluation
Re-evaluations and progress notes are provided at the completion of the intervention program.
